Don’t they need permission for the cartoon network marketing like in Boston?
?! asked:
i thought when attaching anything to city property you had to get permisson from the city first? seems to me as big as turner broadcasting is they would have checked this out first and avoided alot of trouble.
i can understand their being concerned but it really was an overreaction…i’ll bet anyone between the ages of 10 and 30 could have told them what it was. surprising someone in the fire or police didn’t know.

No. In most cities there are no rules regarding advertisements smaller than billboards.
I would suggest mandatory IQ tests for the people in charge of emergency services in all cities though. Afterall it was the Boston city officials that actualy caused the panic…not the advertisements. It is the sort of thing that gets made fun of all the time on “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”…people with no common sense.
No.. in most cities you see advertisements and stuff hung up everywhere. Even if they got a call from someone who reported one as a suspicious item… how dumb do you have to be to think a lite-brite cartoon character flipping the bird is a bomb?
