It is extremely difficult to make money with a Multi-level-Marketing business.

To start, you need two things. You need people to buy the product. Then you need people to sell the product for you, and recruit new people. The problem is that even if all your friends start selling for you, who are they going to recruit? You end up competing for business with the people who are “under you”. It makes for a difficult situation.

The odds of someone staying a second year in MLM program is about 1 in 20 or less. That means to get five people to “stick”, you need to talk to at least 100 people. And that’s optimistic. And remember that each of those people who you need to “stick” have to be willing and motivated to talk to 100 people, too.

It’s not impossible, but it is Really Hard. In some MLM systems, the biggest money is made by “instructional sales material” like a DVD or CD or seminar, not by selling product. Beware.

In this century, making money thru MLM is rather common. The only exception is the people in Singapore. It is not whether MLM can help you and me to make money but rather it is who you mix with that will help you and me to generate an income thru MLM.
