Do you believe the MLM claims of income? You know what I mean.make 20k a month.etc?
Beelzebub asked:
How about those claiming to sell wonder tonics, like bottles of goji juice. To make even 50k a year at 10% income, you need to be moving $500k of goji every year. Do you think any of the ridiculous spammers on here are actually selling this much volume?

(and if so, at what age did you fall on your head to make you so naive?)

Haha..I guess you would have to fall on your head to believe in them. I personally don’t. I always get the impression that th emoney made off those “opportunities” isn’t by selling the product, but rather by getting other people to sign on to sell the product. Then those people realize that it is too ahrd to sell the product so they simply sign up others who think they can sell. I see this as a repeating cycle with no one actually selling anything..just signing up new salesmen below them. There are going to be a few exceptions with legetimate opportunities of course..but I ain’t gonna waste my time looking for them.
It’s like the scammer who claims you can make THOUSANDS of dollars in your spare time if you would just let him show you how to do it, and the only person who ends up getting rich is the con artist who bilks you out of the $99 he charges you for his “secret to success”….yeah, HIS SUCCESS!
This is one of those issues where I wish there was an equivalent of a postmaster general. Pyramid schemes are illegal via the postoffice.
MLM is basically a pyramid scheme. You only make money if you have people working under you, so the person at the bottom is supporting a lot of pyramid above them.
MLM is a crock of crap. I love the ads they show on TV that feature people dancing on their yacht, playing golf, going on trips to the Bahamas, etc. to show how wealthy they are after participating in the MLM program. Ridiculous.
it does works … mathematically it really generate that kind of income =)
There are alot of people who will beleive that stuff. While all MLM are not scams, there are many claims of high incomes that only the very top people make.
l agree with crazylife and like a fool i did it, at first i went to a meeting which i had to pay 69 euros just to listen to them how they made their money and was so impressed, i joined them, i bought the start up kit which was 120 euros. And for nine months l was spending more money than i was getting it, i had to pay other exspenses like flyers, petrol etc. My life and family were suffering cos i was so stress out in trying to make it work and also the products were very exspensive, no one wanted to fork out all that money. I realised the only way to make money was to recruit more people and i didn’t want to do it as it wouldn’t be right making all those claim that you can earn money. It just a scam. I got sense in the end
Yeah, I fell on my head and was suckered in. Some lost friends, embarrased family members, and bad credit later, I came to my senses.
I had to make new friends, I think my family forgives me and my credit is almost back to respectable. (8 years later)
Here is some advice to people that are going to give mlm a try…..”Get the hell out as SOON as possible. For the love of God.”
